
The new housing is ready. I am open for business.
It does not use points, but magnets and a hall sensor.
The dynamic advance is done by a built in microprocessor. All the curves for Fulvia and Flavia are programmed into the unit. The desired curve can be selected by a rotary switch at the bottom.
The spark timing is electronically balanced to 90 degree's to minimize vibration.
The unit can drive coils with a resistance of 0.6 Ohm or higher.
The distributor cap is a standard low cost one made by several manufacturers. We use Beru.
The red wire is connected to the + terminal of the coil. The black wire is connected to the - terminal of the coil.
Note that the gear wheel at the bottom is not included!!!! You have to transfer that from the old one (Fulvia or Flavia).
The unit will work with the standard 3.5 Ohm coils as used for contact breakers. The original coils are 3.5 Ohm and the blue Bosch one as well.
The red Bosch has 1.5 Ohm. It will give a better spark.
The optional black coil I am offering is a flame throwing 0,65 Ohm coil. Very high sprak energy! Never use it with points!!!!

Note that 1600 Fulvia engines need a larger diameter of the shaft. I plan to offer bushes to increase the diameter later. If you are in a hurry you have to turn one yourself. The dynamic advance curve for the 1600's is already programmed into the electronics and selectable through the rotary switch.
