Would you share details of EVO starter in Fulvia? Part #, fittment details, etc., etc. It would be too good if it were a straight bolt in with a minimum of rewiring. Thanks. BobbyC

Oh gosh!

I'll tell you what we did.

We had half a scrap Fulvia engine lying on the workshop floor. With the flywheel exposed it was a matter of taking a die-grinder to the mounting hole (which was not in the right place) until the thing worked. We had to modify the mounting holes in the motor too.

The best solution would be to buy one of the tiny modern units that are made for racing cars. The makers may well be able to supply something that would work

Sorry I cannot be of more help.

From another angle:

How is the ignition?
A fuel air mixture is easy to ignite when within a narrow range. If it goes outside the range very strong sparks are needed. During starting the fuel air ratio is way off and a much stronger sprak is needed.

I was away for a few days, so couldn't reply. Engine was running perfectly, no ignition/fuel problems, but on my return, cylinder 3 not firing. My very handy glass spark plug shows no fuel at idle, then weak mixture at high revs. spark regular and strong. While cleaning jets and idle mixture needle and seat, I disturbed the connector pipe between the carbs and now it's bucketing fuel out through a perished section. SO, it's not running perfectly at all. Starter working fine though.
