I have tried all different combinations of wiring, the rev counter (Veglia, berlina) needle will jump a little but not register the revs. I can't afford a new distributor. Could there be a fault with the ignition amplifier in the Sparkrite? I have tried another (Yazaki) rev counter and it does the same thing, very low erratic readings when switched on to the electronic setting but works on the points setting.

Unusual as I fitted a Sparkrite electronic module to my Fulvia S2 in 1986 and everything works fine ever since. However, I have Jaeger instruments: can you borrow a Jaeger rev counter and see what happens? Andrea

Evidently my Jaeger Speedo is different from yours. While mine has a screw in the back, adjusting it achieves nothing. My Speedo continues to read high (80kmh displayed at 60kmh verified by my gps speed app).
