Forgot to say ,me car is an 81 with F.I. and AC. The intake plenum seems to wrap around the starter. It looks like removeing radiator won't help as AC condenser will also be in the way.Do i have to drop engine and trans to change starter?

Hi Oz,
I have an 82 Zagato and I feel your pain.
To gain good access to the starter I remove the engine stabilizing arm, the rad fan and the rad seperately,
not together. Then 4 screws removes the grill.
With those items removed you will be looking straight at the starter through the front of the car and the starter can be removed through the grill hole.
My AC compressor has been removed but I'm fairly certain you will still be able to access the starter with it in place.
