What version of HPE is this about?
My standard 1983 car has alloy wheels and uses 185/65 x 14 tyres. I beleive that the steel wheels had 175/70 x 14 tyres.
The gear ratios do not vary much and tend to be:
1st 3.5
2nd 2.235
3rd 1.522
4th 1,152
5th 0.925
Rev 3.071
Final drive ratios:
1300 15/67
1600 14/57
2000 14/53
VX 3.263:1 (14/46?)
The front brake calipers have two cylinders and the pipes make up two circuits - so each circuit feeds both front calipers and one rear. There is a proportioning valve that reduces the pressure to the rear calipers if there is no weight in the back (passengers or load).
Can send you a diagram - will have to scan it or draw it though.

Hello again,
Took me a while but I have uploaded a brake system diagram to
http://www.lancia.fsnet.co.uk/images/beta_brakes_1.jpg
This is from the Haynes Beta W/shop manual. The scan was not quite straight but I'm sure that it will be good enough for you.
Good luck, Leo
