Hi to everyone in Beta land. I have just had to replace the original one of the above with a second hand one.
Nothing wrong with it it works fine. However the replacement seems some what different from the original ie the read out comes in seconds. Does anyone no if the digital clocks were changed on the Beta from 1979 on or is me just getting old! In other words how do I set it!

Re: the vegliaflash digital clock
Hello Jim,
The one in my 1983 HPE shows minutes and seconds if you press the buttons in the correct sequence. If you want I will check the sequence! The Delta clocks do the same thing but with a different sequence. Is your new clock exactly the same as the old one? I just bought a Montecarlo and the clock in it is similar but slightly different. It also displays mins/secs after punching the buttons.
Best regards, Leo

Re: the vegliaflash digital clock
Hi Leo
Thanks for the reply. No it is not the same as the original which only displayed in minutes and hours. It is the same as your Monte Carlo. If you could supply the sequence for setting it that would be great.

Jim

Re: the vegliaflash digital clock
Hello Jim,
I checked both HPE and Montecarlo clocks and found that they both do the same - surprised me. First time I've found logic in Lancia electrics! (A1.6 HPE is an S3 version)
The Montecarlo clock has larger headed buttons (mushroom shape).
So its:
To set the time:
Press Right hand button (R) once (twice if the battery has just been connected)
The Hours will be displayed
Press Left hand button until Hours are as required
Press R to display Minutes
Press L until Minutes are as required
Press R to display Seconds
Press L to Zero the seconds
Press R to go back to the normal time display
To alternate from displaying Hrs/Mins to Mins/Seconds press L when time is displayed.
I checked the HPE handbook and it says the same except that it does not mention the alternate display feature.
Happy motoring, Leo
