HELP!!! Urgently need to know what grade and type (manufacturer/supplier) of oil I need to top up the supercharger lube oil reservoir in my VX coupe.
Please help!!!

You should use a proper Fiat lubricant to be on the safe side the handbook specifies Tutela ZC90 which I believe to be a gearbox oil.Whilst using a different oil in the engine from that specified by Fiat is never a problem in my experience when looking at other lubricants (example gearbox oil) the widely available alternatives are not always to the same specification as the Fiat lubricants for instance use of other brands as per their recommendations can lead to poor gearchange quality and so on.....

Alan, Thanks for info. My local Fiat dealers in Aberdeen are about as much use as a useless thing (Lancia? Never heard of them - I kid you not!!!). So long as I know what I need I'm sure even the parts department can't screw up. I've recently moved and lost the handbook and notes during the move. The car's going in for an MOT later today and I noticed the fluid was a bit on the low side, but I now know what I need: Tutela ZC90. Thanks again, Hamish.

By now I'm sure that you have already changed your supercharger oil.
I was advised that the Supercharger oil should be the best gearbox oil that you can fnd. GL4 gear oil should be fine. My car's previous owner used ATF oil which was not correct but did not do any damage. Not to be recommended though!
For the record then:
Engine Oil - Valvoline XLD
Supercharger Oil - GL4 gear oil
Power Steering - best quality ATF

Yes, thanks for info. Using Tutela oil from local Fiat dealership, about the only thing I trust them with! I'm using fully synthetic oil in the engine, and am probably going to do the same for the gearbox. Now all I've got to do is stop the tappets making a desperate bid for freedom....
