How to adjust door lock?

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the door lock on a coupe? One of the doors on my car requires a rather firm push to get it fully closed, yet the other closes quite easily.

The lock is lining up perfectly and hasn't fallen down at the closing edge. So it is just any outward or inward adjustment of the lock or the keeper I need to know how to do.

Cheers

Michael

Is it S1 or S2? Alu doors or steel? Any difference if window is open or closed?

Huib

S2 steel doors. Hard to close even with window open.

Is the quarter light frame hitting the seal at the top before the door is closed ?
Is the locking mechanism (either the lip on the underside of the female, or the profile of the latch in the lock) worn.
Mine would not close easily for both these reasons and I had to adjust the frame and replace the lock.

I had more or less the same. It turned out that the bolts fixing the 'catch-part' to the car were not tight enough. Very easy to check.

Problem sort by moving the frame catch plate.
