automatic gearbox oil - GI/E or GI/V?

Unread post by arnoldf »

Hi!

Which one is the preferred oil for 3.0 automatic gearbox? GI/E or GI/V?

And is there anybody who know about tipical Thesis automatic gearbox problem?
Valves, or filter, or what? I replaced my gearbox to a low mileage another one, but the gear change not as smooth as preferred.

I'm going crazy... :(

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the english...

Hallo Arnold

The GI/E is OK for your transmission, but the GI/V is the better oil. Because it is not so thinn. If the oil is warm/hot you have a better flow property.
This Oil is especialy build for the aisin transmission of a Thesis by FL.

For the typical problems please see the threads for automatic transmissioin.

Greetings and merry christmas where ever you are...
