VIN number to discover year of manufacture

I have just acquired Lancia Fulvia Zagato, reg WWB 429L. I would like to know how I can discover the year of manufacture (perhaps from the VIN) as it was registered first 07/1973. Plus anybody who knows anything about this car. Plan to race it in the HSCC 70s series. Would welcome any views, tips, comments etc.

It could just be 1972 manufacture. From the Zagato register your chassis number is quite late. Join Lancia Motor Club in UK if not already a member and the club secretary can get the approx date (definately year of manufacture) for you - useful in UK to get road fund tax free status....

compare your Z # to my Z# - S2 - 1.3S, # 2675 Zagato registered mid 72 in sud-Switzerland; it didn't spend a long-time in transport from Ital to delivering dealer like it would have in getting (for example) to Argentina:)

added later: now I can assume # 2675 was built in early 72; however this is conjecture...since I don't know how long each Fulvia chassis spent enroute from Lancia Torino to Zagato Milano & back to Torino for completion.

My Zagato:

818.650 model with a 818.303 engine.
The chassis number is 3071 and the first registration date is 03 May 1972.
