Re: kappa for sale
pls Xplain ! if not the 2.0 5cly ... which was (is?) a good engine...what 2.0 engine did it have ?
Mine had the 2.0 with 155hp...not a rocket, but fast enough & not thirsty

Re: kappa for sale
all 2.0 Turbo Kappas had the 5 cylinder engine....the 2.4 was also the 'Fiat' 5 cylinder...a solid engine! A Fiat engineer recently told me that their design life is 500,000kms...
Re: kappa for sale
Not correct. Series one turbo kappa´s (1995-1998) had a 4 cylinder 16v 205hp engine.
Series 2 turbo (1998+) had the 5 cylinder 20v 220hp engine.
IMHO the 220hp version is better.

oops...stand corrected...was never aware of that...I would also say that the 5 cylinder is better, as I had a Thema Turbo before...

Re: kappa for sale
Phil, I sold my Kap SW 2.0 5cyl (for a Lybra 1.6 D SW) at 180²km because I thought...this motor wan't last forever ! ooops". The Lyb was fine, cost 5ß% less to run...but it wasn't a Kappa !
It was also "to small" (which the Kappa was as well); which I knew when I bought them, so the Lyb left at ca 200²km ...for a Ulyssee Van; which (you gueesed it) was...in the long run...a bit too small !! It was supposed to be a cargo-Van, person-transporter Van & everyday car, all at the same.
It did all to these things so well, that I bought a 2d Ulsy; these 2 "super-cars" were the "main-transport" around here for many yrs,,,,,,,,,,until they became too large ! ha ha; how things change !!
OK, the 2d Uly stopped running once & I managed to survive the excitement that ensued....I'll tell you about some time...if I can stop shaking !
Oh yes, thismessage was supposed to be about "Kappa"...so I move back to Kappa !
A QUESTION FOR THE EXPERTS !!
which kappa is now (as long as they are cheap) The future "collectors-model" or are no Kappa something to consider ? Johann Gamma of NL says it it the Turbo K !

Re: kappa for sale
go for a Kappa Coupe...any version! I feel that that a 5 cylinder turbo station wagon would also make an interesting keeper...are there any left out there?
Re: kappa for sale
its got the revised thema/integrale 16v with the later lsd 210 bhp
Re: kappa for sale
this is the integrale/thema 210bhp rare gen 1 kappa this is the lancia developed engine not a newer fiat one,not having a go at fiat but all the lancisti rave about warmed up fiat lumps being re badged as lancia,i have 2 evos and love this engine thats why i got this version, they also fitted a lsd to keep it all in check when wet
