PAINT for 1967 Rallye 1.3 Coupe

Unread post by Michael Keitz »

My friend is at the point in restoration of my coupe that we are looking for proper paint.

1. Is there any cosing that will tell me the original color?
2. What are the sources of the corrrect type of paint in the eastern USA?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Check the glove box for a label with the original color. Failing this, you can pull some trim (like the wood dash, which comes off easily) and check the areas almost no one bothers to repaint.

The original factory paint codes are Lechler or Max Meyer, neither of which you're likely to find in the US. But once you figure out the original color (or can at least describe it), let me know (or post on this thread), and I should be able to give you a Glasurit paint number that matches the original factory color.
