There are a couple of early road tests of the Fulvia '2C' Coupe in 1965 where they state 2.7 Turns lock to lock steering.
The 2 reports are in seperate magazines and I hope it is correct or could it be a mistake in the press pack.
We have a 65 manufactured car first registered on 01-01-1966 which seems about 4 turns
Any ideas if a 2.7 turns box is available?

Re: Steering ratio
A 1600 has a 3.2 turns lock-to-lock steeringbox.
But is not original on a 1.2 coupé.

Re: Steering ratio
Actually the 1C berlina had a 4.5 turns steeringbox. For the 2C they quickened up the ratio to 4.25 turns. The 1600 had the mentioned 3.5 and for rally 1200HF and 1300Hfs they used Flavia steeringarms on the 4.25 steering box. these 1cm longer arms reduce the ratio to about 3.8 turns lock to lock. The firewall has to be modified though as the clearance with these 'long' arms is insufficient. the works 1200HF and 1300HFs had massive dents hammered in the firewalls. Very unsightly.

PS: The shortest ratio is the 1600 box together with the flavia arms. About 3 turns lock to lock but handbrake turns are almost a must as steering at parkingspeeds requires the arms of King Kong!
