Supplementary Fuel Tanks

Unread post by FennLane »

Hi,

Does anyone have photographs for the 1.2/1.3HF Supplementary fuel tanks installed in a car and information of how it interacted with the main tank.

We are trying to modify a Series 1 car to by moving the fuel filler and I need to be sure we are making the correct modifications

Thanks

The 1200 and 1300HF cataloque models did not have any modifications done to the refueling system. The factory cars had a 80litre L-shaped tank in the righthand side of the boot. The fuelfiller door was necessarilly riased to the next higher side plane and used the same lockable flap. If you send me an email I can send you a few pictures.

William,

Thank you for this information about the fuel tanks.

As you may have seen we have an 85 litre tank but want to make the smaller tank with the raised fuel filler flap.

I also thank you for the information about carbs.

I would like to try to find the 40DDH carbs but am unfamiliar with this model.

Does it fit the standard inlet manifold ?
