Dear all, despite searching the internet I am at a loss! I have reconditioned the Girling brakes, both calipers and master cylinder on my S3. The mixed circuit works fine and bleeds easily. However, the front circuit, for the larger pistons, doesn't bleed at all! I have gone over everything so many times I am now confused!. It appears that the front piston in the master cylinder is not transfering fluid into the compression area and therefore into the front calipers. I have adjusted the rod to the brake pedal both ways, but to no avail. An idiots guide would be much appreciated
thanks

Re: Girling Brakes
Did you bleed it by pushing on the pedal? Try to pressurize the brake fluid container and bleed it that way (easybleed?). If you have too much air in the master cylinder it will not move the fluid forward by pumping. Could even try to bleed by unscrewing the respective nippel on the MC.
Re: Girling Brakes
Thanks Peter.
I've drained the whole system down- mainly to check that I had the springs in the master cylinder thye right way round!. After refilling, I then had to manually suck fluid through - and it tastes awful - shall have to stick to meths!. Pedal pushing then worked and I think I have some brakes that work.
