Bargin of the year??

I think €4500 for a Gr4 Fanalone is a bit low - especially given the same car is advertised at €50k here:

Do I smell a rat ???
Fanaone Gr4 for sale: €4500 !
Re: Fanaone Gr4 for sale: €4500 !
I meant Fanalone Gr4 for sale !! fingers and thumbs i'm afraid !
Re: Fanaone Gr4 for sale: €4500 !
I think I smell a misplaced decimal, as in 45,000 euros, which would make it the same price as this one:

CarClassic has been trying to move that particular car for a couple of years, in various stages of restoration.

Re: Fanaone Gr4 for sale: €4500 !
rat or no rat; it was worth looking at the ebay offer - just for the photos ; I (obviously ignorant) have never seen a Fulvia Gr4 Fanalone in photos before......... nor have I seen 1 in real life. Thanks for the tip !
Re: Fanaone Gr4 for sale: €4500 !
and you still haven't seen one. the eBay car may be a real Fanalone, but it's only a replica of a Group 4 car. of the 40 original works Group 3 or Group 4 chassis, about 200 survive...

I had to read your comment 2.5 times to 'catch your meaning'....then I laffed.
Momories of the 73 Porsche 2.7 Carrera RS; of which (if my memory serves me well) about 1600 were sold (much to the factory's surprise), of which at least 5000 'original-replicas, using factory parts" (or not) were built on older chassis/body 911's, in the - more or less 5 to 10 year time-period - when many/most owners of "standard " 911's just had to have a Carrera RS, real or not -(or the even wider RSR).
Considering that 911'sfrom the 60's thru the mid 70's were "prone to rapid rust" in most parts of the world & -more sooner than more later- required major restoration (or scrapping) anyway; it wasn't quite as bizzare as it sounds now.
In any case, it allowed wider rear wheels & tires, which was a blessing....adding F&R spoilers was also a blessing...especially in the wet. Not that this has anything to do with Lancia Fulvia....
