Flavia 2000 Consortium

Some weeks back I posted a warning to potential out of UK parts purchasers to avoid the Flavia 2000 Consortium. The situation was complex. I answered an ad on their website offering Flavia Coupe parts being cleared by an officer of the club. These parts were effectively a private sale and I accept that the long delay is not the club's doing. Even so, as a paid up member of the Consortium I was disappointed that their response was to declare that New Zealand was too far away to deliver large orders. I notice that the Consortium website now carries an advisory note to that effect.

The parts I ordered have since been dispatched and I received a pleasant note from the seller saying that the shipping was easier than anticipated. This is encouraging and I hope that the Consortium takes note and restores service to the far flung colonies.
