Does anyone know if the rubber mats that are being reproduced for the B20's are the same or different for the early series cars? I have seen the 4th series mats - are the second series different?
Also, in comparison to the original mats, the repros seem somewhat thicker. Is there anyone with a lead on a thinner reproduction set, or an early original set?
Just wondering, and a chance to spice up this sleepy forum!

B20's and rubber mats
Re: B20's and rubber mats
I'm afraid I can't say much about your questions, but I'm interested as my convertible mats were worth no more than patterns fifteen years ago when I replaced them for the then current owner with carpets. I'd love to find some grey with red piping mats to put back in.

Geoff - I have only just seen this forum today, so I've no idea if it's sleepy! - However, I do need some mats for my 4th series, so - where do I get the repro ones from? - even thick ones would be better than the ones I 've got!

Yes, these forums can be useful!
If you are in the US - the mats can be gotten from Re-Originals (Matt Jones) or Mike Kristick. I would suspect Omicron would have them in England, or Cavalitto in Italy. I believe they are made by Cicognani, and there is a rep for him in England.
Or talk with Ron Francis, who goes to Italy.
The newer mats are thicker than the old ones, but not much choice other than carpet.
Hope this helps.
