y10 turbo starting problems
hi everyone iv got a little starting problem with my y10 turbo when i start it some times it starts first time but if i leve it over night and try to start it again it wont start it onley starts when i put jump leads on and sometimes when it gets to hot it cuts out can anyone help me out im desprate

I had problems like this with my Y-10.
It would cut out or not start almost at random.
The solution was to replace the distributor. There are two types fitted to Y-10's, one has a small heatsink on the side, black in colour and easily spotted because it is fitted with fins. This is the unreliable type in my experience. The electronics contained within this heatsink bit are prone to failure.
The other type does not have this feature and one should be sought out at the local scrap yard/car merchants.
