Y10 Cooling & Heating system - help needed

Unread post by Antonio LOPEZ »

Hello ,

From few weeks ago my Y10 (Avenue - 1.1 c.c. - '93 model) has overheating problems. I'm trying to find a Service and Repair manual to know the cooling and heating system but i can not find it. Somebody knows how I can obtain information about this (book , electronic document , any)?

Thank you very much in advance ,

Un cordial saludo
Antonio

Your car had the same engine that Fiat Uno, Fiat Punto. About these cars you can find information, for example, in HAYNES books. www.haynes.uk. Maybe You can concretize this problem, and tell further details. I have experience in Lancia and Fiat repair. May be I can help you. I have Y10 FIRE 1.0 ' 87. y. Mileage 224837 km at 30.05.2002.

Dear peter,
It was actually very nice to hear that you do have experience with lancias. Couple of weeks ago, I bou´ght a dedra 1.6ie 1990 model and had overheating problem. I was adviced to change the thermoswitch, water pump and the thermostat. I have since changed these items and the car is behaving very well and no more overheating problems. Just today, I drove about 5km on a high speed and started to notice that the car (on a full normal running temperature) started to jeck loosin power when I accelerate. But when I change gear it behaves ok for a couple of minuites and then start to jeck again. The car runs very fine when the engine is not warm yet. I have now checked the plugs and they are fine. The air filter is ok and so is the distribution cap and distributor. (at least I think so..they look clean and no fractures or corrossion) I do not know what the problem is...please kindly advice me...I am going crazy...

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you ASAP. You can reply me directly to my e-mail (eseoku@hotmail.com).

Thank you very much.
