Y10 Turbo

Hi there!
I'm having really good time with a 12 year-old y10 turbo but I think It's going to the end of its life. Even though has run 215000 km I changed the engine some years ago and so the amount of km for the new engine, not for the whole car, is 130000. I don't know exactly what to do, I mean, I'd like really to keep this car with me because It's really fantastic, but It's known that It has 12 years and still works with leaded fuel.

WIth some simple maintenance operations on the carburetor I could reach an average of 12.5 km per litre of gasoline (mainly used in the city). I gained about 1 km per litre since these opearations.

The compression ratio in each of the four cylinder is 6:1; keep in mind that should be 8.5:1 but this is due to normal deterioration of the complex of the engine and other parts.
Now the question is: can I make some modifications or, maybe, rettification of the cylinder to partially restore the original power (and if possible to increase the power, losing in fuel consumption, of course) and so keep the car alive for some time again?
DO you know any issue or discussion linked to this car and its engine?
I don't need a kind of answer in particular. I just want to open a window on this car. Any kind of argumentation on this subject is welcome.

Glad you love your Y10 Turbo. You should be OK with unleaded fuel, the valve seats will be strong enough

I think the standard compression ratio is only 7:1. A suggestion would be to remove the head and check whether compression is being lost from the valves or whether new pistons are required

To get a little more power from your engine, you could try the camshaft from the Fiat 127 1050 Sport. If you can find a source for new Turbo pistons, I would be grateful if you could tell me as they are impossible to obtain in the UK
