Being a long time driver of Thema's i've had more than my share of problems.
Just recently the drivers door lock has decided that it will only lock.
All attempts at solving this have failed so I have decided to add a central locking interface to the existing alarm as i'm getting funny looks unlocking the passenger door only to then walk round and get in the drivers door!
Having pulled out the dashboard console the get to the lock/unlock buttons it appears that all the buttons are connected to a pcb. I've tried a 12v feed to all the wires coming into the pcb and apart from a few blown fuses and switching the windscreen wipers on i've had no joy.
Next I gained access to the solenoid in the drivers door but have no clue which wires are the open/close actuators.
Does anybody have some suggestions?
Thanks.
Iain.
Fitting central locking alarm interface.
Re: Fitting central locking alarm interface.
The locking system consists of the central console button, a central door locking control unit (mounted rhs over footwell and the locking motors on each door. It sounds as if the door motor lock has gone. This a a mini plastic rack and pinion affair driven by a small motor. You can repair them sometimes by partialy drilling the copper pins to reduce thickness and tapping them out with a needle punch. But It is not worth the effort as they usually fail due to rack wear and often work in one direction before later failing (by either siezing or not working at all) If a replacement unit does not work then the the central control is suspect. The door uses the same two wires (grey/red yellow/black) to either lock and unlock so it is unlikely to be a wiring problem - though in Lancias you can rule nothing out,

Re: Fitting central locking alarm interface.
The actual central locking motor works fine as long as you don't access the car using the drivers door key.
The key lock mechanism is worn preventing the levers activating the unlock cycle but still allowing the lock cycle to work ok.
I've found the central locking control unit under the handbrake console but want to be sure which wires control the open and close circuit. I'm using a sparkrite central locking adapter. From what you say I should connect the open circuit to the yellow/black and the close to the grey/red.
I'll give it a go this weekend.
Thanks for your help paddy.

Re: Fitting central locking alarm interface.
Just got the damn thing working!
In case someone else wants to do the same...
1. Remove the two large plastic headed screws holding the trim above the pedals and remove.
2. Remove the two screws holding the side trim holding the carpet in place and remove.
3. Lift up the carpet to reveal a large selection of wires in a loom from behind the dash.
4. Locate the connector (Mine was yellow) which has the wires red/grey, yellow/black, yellow and black. There was another connector with the same wires but with 4 yellow/black wires but i ignored that one.
5. My thema central locking is 12v triggered and not earthed as stated in the alarm manual but it's safer to start with a earth type connection just in case.
6. Connect the close feed to the yellow/black wire and connect the open feed to the grey/red.
7. If you need a permanent 12v feed then remove the ashtray from the dash and use the cigarette lighter feeds.
Hope this helps!
