Camshafts

My 16v i.e. has previously had the oil feeds to the camshafts replaced.

I suspect that during this work the mechanic may have interchanged the inlet and exhaust camshafts, because the engine has a peculiar jerkiness at low rpm when the throttle is lifted.

My question is how can I determine if trhe correct cam is in the correct location? Do the camshafts have part numbers stamped on them?

Otherwise the engine performs very well and is a credit to Lancia engineering as it has now run up 152K miles.
