8.32 interior, grille and alloys
8.32 interior, grille and alloys
Could anyone tell me if the 8.32 rear seats, grille and alloy wheels would fit a 1993 2.0 ie16V Turbo LX StationWagon? Thanks for your time and assistance.
Re: 8.32 interior, grille and alloys
Hi!
AFAIK, the wheels might fit.
The seats from any limo are useless in a SW and may break apart using them. They need that beam going from one suspension dome to the other one, which does not exist in a SW.
The grille might fit or not. I only know that the grille of an 8.32 had to be modified with respect to the standard part to give some extra millimeters to fit the engine into the engine compartment.
Regards
Rolf

Re: 8.32 interior, grille and alloys
the 8.32 has 5-hole wheel hubs while the "standard"-834 has 4-hole alloys. The 8.32 wheel-hub size fits with alfa 164 alloys.

Re: 8.32 interior, grille and alloys
I'm in the process of fitting 8.32 wheels to a '93 LS V6.
Not simple. You need 164 hubs front and rear, 164 ABS unit, 164 or
832 discs front and rear, all these to convert from 4 stud to 5 stud
wheels. I can send you part numbers for these items if you need them.
We are also having trouble removing the original ABS sensors from
the hubs, due to their being well and truly 'bonded' in, and very difficult
to move without breaking the plastic unit.
The 8.32 grill differs slightly between series 1 and 2. I think the series
2 fits perfectly - the series 1 that I have on mine is too wide at the bottom,
and so sits a little proud.

Re: 8.32 interior, grille and alloys
Thanks to all for the info, so far. Keep it coming!
It looks like I would have to adjust my plans.
Maybe, try to find a leather interior from a SW or Driver/Passenger front seats in Alcantara to replace my damaged originals.
Has anybody fitted BBS Style 1 alloy wheels (originally used by VW on their cars) on their Thema? Any wheel/tire suggestions would be welcome.
Anyone with a 8.32 series 2 grille they want to get rid of?
Peter, where are you located?
I would be interested in taking a look at your car. Any photos?

Re: 8.32 interior, grille and alloys
No photos yet. We've mounted the rears, and are still struggling with
the ABS on the fronts.
Just a note on my previous post, in which I said that 164 rear discs would
fit. I'm not sure that they do, however 8.32 ones are fine.
I'm in S Spain.

Re: Speedline Montecarlo for Themas?
Hello,
I have seen Thema SWs with integrale wheels so the 4 hole Speedlines will fit just as well. The Themas were the support team for Bruno Saby's Delta - all those years ago!
