I have broken my gear box i think so. Appears comfortronic trouble and epb. Can be valve body??? Is it the same of volvo renault vel satis opel gear box and gear? I saw a second hand gear box and valve body 55-50 from volvo and renault. Will ir work un muy Thesis. Thanks from spain.

The gearbox is the same but be aware because there are two valvebody types (different linear solenoid rotation) and the flange is different too of course.

Comfortronic error may have another origin than the gearbox, itself if associate to several other errors (ESR, EPB etc) and if the car works fine.

In this case, the problem comes from the auxiliary battery located in the rear rigth wing, just behind the audio system.
If this battery is out of order or discarged due to unusage of the car, these errors apprear without any real error.

If it is just because you don't use the car for one or two monthes, drive 50 km, then switch off/on the engine, the problem will disappear
If the battery is really out of order, (usually a battery has 5 or 6 years life time) the replacement is quite cheap (about 50 €) and requires no more than 10 minutes.

Note that this battery is used for the park brakes.

which boxes are compatible with the thesis?

I have a problem with EPB. Both wheels are blocked at the moment. (see latest discussion topic). Do you think it has to do with the battery? Do you know the specifications for the battery?

Sorry to reply you so late.

The battery used for the EPB is FIAMM ref FG 20201
it's a 12 volts / 2 Ah. Available as a LANCIA part but available too in other shops.
You can found similar batteries at other manufacturers than FIAMM.

Sorry for your gearbox, but non of the other AW55-50 will fit into thesis.

Even though they are essentially the same, mounting and size of the gearbox won't fix for thesis.
So any other manufacturer like volvo, Renault Nissan Saab and gearboxes for them are. Useless.

For valve body there are two, but for thesis I usually encounter with Mark B on valve body
