Clutch and fuel pump
Clutch and fuel pump
Are the clutch plate and fuel pump same on Fulvia and Flavia 1800? Looks like they are, as the origin of these parts on Flavia parts book is 818.xxx.

Re: Clutch and fuel pump
The design of the clutch mechanism of the Fulvia and Flavia are very similar, but the actual clutch plates are different, and carry different part numbers.
The Flavia uses an electrical fuel pump and the Fulvia a mechanical one, so they are also different.

Re: Clutch and fuel pump
For Flavia 819. series, the clutch plate is identical to Fulvia 818.610 which is only the 4 speed berlina 1.5 series
Re: Clutch and fuel pump
Thank you Bert and Lucas. My existing clutch plate is otherwise ok, but the rubber damper in the center is completely shot.
Carburettor Flavias have mechanical fuel pump, or at least mine has.
I left it to be soda blasted, among other things, and will rebuild it. It is the older serviceable Fispa-type.

Re: Clutch and fuel pump
It is hard to see what is correct, important is of course the number of theet and the outer diameter.

Re: Clutch and fuel pump
I would go for the one with the springs. The rubber one is probably 50 years old.
Re: Clutch and fuel pump
This is exactly why I am interested of choices. All plates for Flavia I have seen are these old rubber-dampered items, but Fulvias seem to have plates with spring damper.
Re: Clutch and fuel pump
There are also competition discs without any springs at all. The rubber went with the "feel" of the Flavia. After so many years I would not trust the rubber of any NOS disc.
