AUDIO equipment on Lancia Thema HELP !

hi,

im a little bit depressed with the audio quality of the system in my thema, because the 6x4 " speakers situation are bery bad. i want to known if someone had install an extra equipment as tweeters or simililar to increase the sound power, maybe in the door panels....i dont want to damage them....any ideas ?

Hi,
I put tweeters on the windscreen/door pillars in my DElta and am about to do the same to my Thema. I use Blaupunkt speakers which have seperate tweeters that can be mounted remotely. it is easy enough to fit the crossover units and feed the wires behind the plastic trim panel. In the Delta I was able to use some of the existing holes but for the Thema I will need to drill the plastic panel (mounting them about halfway down). The Bluapunkt units have a swivel base so the tweeters can be pointed to meet somewhere between the two front seats and therefore work quite well.

I have the same problem in my ie Turbo. It´s not the tweaters that pose a problem, it´s the woofers, the bass. The 6 x 4 " just isn´t enough.. I would also really like to know how others have tackled this.

I've given up on the in-dash speakers and cut 5-inch holes in the door panels and removed some of the metalwork behind to allow some decent front speakers to be fitted, along with tweeters too.

Much better than the factory fitted items and worth cutting the door panels for.

Metalwork was a bit harder to do!

ok, guys, this is what i did , with great success,

i got no speakers in the back panel, buy i got 4 speaker in the doors, 1 in each, i used JBL round ones,
in the back i put a 14inch sub woofer, also JBL,
i also have tweeters on the front panel, in the corners
i have 2 aplifiers and a digital crossover....ohh, and the head unit is a Sony Mp3.

this costs a lot of money, but does the job...
