Gelukkig was KPN nooit van plan om het 2G netwerk af te koppelen .. en als je een E in je scherm ziet.. zit je op de 2G

E van Edge . Stapje boven GPRS, stapje onder 3g. Wordt ook wel 2.5g genoemd.

Mijn provider is Vodafone.
Voorlopig kan ik niet meer bellen vanuit de auto, dus is het 2G netwerk uitgeschakeld
Eens over de grens, in dit geval België, wordt het 2G netwerk gewoon weer opgepakt ( Proximus)
De vraag is of en wanneer Vodafone terugkomt op zijn besluit.
Mijn provider is Vodafone.

Vodafone komt niet meer terug op dit besluit... Het g2 netwerk/frequentie wordt vervangen/gebruikt voor landelijke dekking van het 4g netwerk.
Dus het financieel belang is te groot

900 Mhz Vodafone
Ik vrees er helaas ook voor.
Overigens ligt het niet zo zeer aan het G2 netwerk.
Dit wordt voor alle providers vooralsnog voortgezet.
Het zit hem in de gewijzigde 900 Mhz band van met name Vodafone,
Hierdoor zijn oudere toestellen, waaronder de telefoon van onze Thesis, onbruikbaar per 1 april 2014

Blijft er niets anders over dan een Parrot-achtig systeem te installeren.
