Varistor defekt

Freunde,

Jens

Do you mean variosteer? There's no problem with it, only the battery level was a bit lower in these winter temperatures while starting the cold engine so there was not enough power for the variosteer and the error came out, but only till the alternator started giving the power. The variosteer is the first equipment that writes an error on low voltage, the second is the skyhook.

Dear Vlad,

Actually the Batterie is always in a very good state of loading, there permanently to a charging source. But maybe the low temperatures simulating a low voltage, your thesis is that this message comes just when the car did not move at least a day.

Many greetings
Jens

Yes the problem is usually there only in low temperatures, but the point is the same, you can ignore the error because there's no problem :)

It's the steering servo, in thesises with automatic gearbox there's a variable version called variosteer.

The variable power steering is quite sensitive to the higher viscosity of the hydraulic fluid in cold temperatures and throws an error. If this happens very often and above 0 °C, I would change the fluid, otherwise I would not worry too much.
I have this phenomenon, too, and when it is below –10 °C, the pump starts making painful noises which disappear after a few seconds.

Best,
GWB
