Mein Auto hatte original schwarz metallic Farbe und zunächst ich es in der gleichen Farbe malen wollte .
Aber ich sah, eine Präsentation von Oracal für eine speziell für Autoabdeckung hergestellt Film. Ich das Top-Produkt bzw. mochte ORAFOL 970 Film. Ist ein Premium- Multilayer- , High Performance Cast -PVC-Folie ( Dicke von 110 Mikrometer) mit optimierter Technologie-Standards , insbesondere für die komplette Auto- Verpackung entwickelt , auch für unebene Oberflächen und Wellpappe sowie geeignete Sicken und Nieten . Es hat eine gute Entfernbarkeit der aufgetragenen Materials mit Hilfe geeigneter Geräte . Und vor allem gibt es in Metallic-Farben.
Ich beschloss, zwei Farben, nämlich 874 ( orient braun metallic) und 921 (bronze antik) zu verwenden. Diese beiden Farben schaffen nur die perfekte Kombination für Lancia Thesis , Kombination in allen Werbe-und Promotion -Materialien gefunden.
Die Vorbereitung des Autos ( Reparatur von Kratzern ) und die Anwendung der Film dauerte etwa 3 Tage . Sie mussten Rückspiegel , Heckkennzeichenhalter, Ornamente aus dem Dach und aus den Fenstern zu entfernen. Die Türgriffe können nicht entfernt werden .
Ich löste auch das Problem der Rückspiegel Türträger ( aus dem die Farbe blätterte ) . Ich sandgestrahlt diese Unterstützung , und ich deckte ihn mit Pulverbeschichtung matt schwarzer Farbe, (Farbe , die auf 200 Grad verhärtet und wird hart wie Glas).
Ich polierte die Scheinwerfer (die verschwommen und vergilbt waren ) und bedeckte sie mit Orafol 970 (zum Schutz vor Kratzern und Steinschlag ) . Jetzt sind die Scheinwerfergläser sind mit einem Aussehen wie neu restauriert.
Das Ergebnis kam super ( zumindest meiner Meinung nach)

New “clothes” for my Thesis.
Last week, after I found my car scratched in several places, I decided that I should fix this.
My car had original metallic black color and, initially, I wanted to paint it in the same color.
But I saw a presentation by Oracal for a film manufactured specifically for car cover. I liked the top product respectively ORAFOL 970 film. Is a premium multilayer, High Performance Cast PVC film (thickness of 110 microns) with optimized technology standards, developed in particular for complete car wrapping, suitable also for uneven and corrugated surfaces as well as rivets and corrugations. It has good removability of the applied material with use of appropriate equipment. And, above all, it exists in metallic colors.
I decided to use two colors namely 874 (orient brown metallic) and 921 (bronze antique) . These two colors create just the perfect combination for Lancia Thesis , combination found in all advertising and promotional materials .
Preparation of the car (reparation of scratches) and application of the film lasted about 3 days. They had to remove rearview mirrors, rear number plate holder, ornaments from the roof and from the windows. The door handles cannot be removed.
I solved also the problem of the rearview mirrors door support ( from which the paint was peeling) . I sandblasted this support and I covered him with powdercoating matt black paint, (a paint that hardens to 200 degrees and becomes hard like glass).
I polished the headlights (which were hazy and yellowed) and covered them with Orafol 970 (for protection against scratches and stone chipping). Now the headlight lenses are restored to a like new appearance.
The end result came out great (at least in my opinion). I am attaching a few pictures. In fact the car looks much better in realty than in pictures.
