Hi,
I noticed a smell of petrol a few days ago tied up with high consumption. On checking under the bonnet I can see that I have had a lucky escape from a burnt-out car. My fuel line that goes to the inlet manifold has split and is leaking badly.
Does anyone know how far back this pipe goes and how easily it is replaced? It had split right beside the connecter that attaches to the aluminium manifold.
Thanks,
Gary
Replacing Fuel Lines on Dedra Turbo
Re: Replacing Fuel Lines on Dedra Turbo
Hi Gary,
Can you not carefully cut it back ? and refit with a good Jubilee hose clip.
Just had the same problem with my 1993 Thema! bit scary isn't it!

Re: Replacing Fuel Lines on Dedra Turbo
yep that's what I did in the end. A short section of pipe with two jubille clips and all was well.
My initial concern was borne by the fact that the parts disc showed the pipe as being one piece from the tank to the inlet manifold. Thankfully it was a lot easier and cheaper in the end!! Only £4 to stop the thing going up in flames!!
