Belt Change Intervals on '91 Turbo

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knows for sure what the correct Cam & Balance belt change intervals are for the 8V Turbo engine. I've heard that the 16V Intergrale engine should be done at 24k miles intervals as they have a habit of breaking if left to the "official" intervals but I can find no info on the 8V Turbo engine. Are the intervals simply the same as the non-turbo engines?

In the same vain, what is the oil change interval as well, 6k or 12k miles.

And finally does anyone know a good UK supplier of "quality" belts?

8v engines are not so prone to belt problems I would say that to be on the safe side 36000 miles is ok. the oil change would have been at 9000 mile intervals back then but for long term durability I would change at least that regularly probably at 6000, the very last 16v twin cams have intervals of 12000 miles but you must use a very high qualty oil for this

thanks very much for the info. Looks like I can wait a little longer before doing the belts again, they've only done about 28k.

I use Castrol Magnatec"for advanced engines!!" so the rough 6-7k intervals I've been changing at should be ok then.
