Dedra = Kangaroo?

My Wifes Dedra 1990 H 1.6ie has a mind of its own, sometimes it takes ages for the Revs to go back to normal also when I am driving it and take my foot off the accelerator the car suddenly loses power, and there is a 2 secondish delay when I put put my foot back on the accelerator, the car has been plugged into a Lancia Computer and nothing has been found also I have sprayed WD40 all over the accelerator linkage as well. Any Ideas

Not sure about this problem on the single point injection of the 1.6 but on 1.8 and 2.0 this problem occurs when the butterfly valve is sticking on its pivot points inside the unit so spraying the linkage would have no effect, give it a blast with carb cleaner at this point and it may help the problem.
