Difficult to start in the morning

I just bought a Dedra 1.6ie 1990 model yesterday. I find it dificult to get the engine started in the morning. But the car starts after several trials and sometimes make a "bluring" sound while attempting to start. I am very very afraid of what it would be like in the winter since we do have temperatures as low and cold as -30 degrees centigrade in Finland. Please kindly help me out. The other problem is that when it now starts, the temperature of the engine gets very very hot (90 degree centigrade in about 10 minuites) Has anyone experienced this before? please kind advice me on what to do. Thank you
