Hi , I'm overhauling a waterpump from a 2000HF. I read at the Flaviaconsortium site that they use a standard modern carbon ring seal to replace the old ones. Where could I find those ( brand, dimensions) ?
Tnx, Edward
Water pump seal 2000
Re: Water pump seal 2000
Hello
I overhauled my waterpump a couple of months ago. I used a seal from Sealsonline part number MSD-SD25B-0158. It comes in 2 parts and you don't use the ceramic part. If your pump is like mine it has the old seal with a rubber outer body pressed into the nose of the inner pump assembly. This new seal has an outer metal outer body and you have to machine about 1 mm out of the inner housing to allow it to fit. Seal it in with loktite or similar. Don't forget to replace the bearings...only a few dollars.
If this helps and you want more info, I can send you some pictures.
If you don't want to do this, there are replacement pump inner assemblies out the and the best price I found was from Emporio in Berlin

Thanks! I'll try to do it first without Emporio, that's more fun..
