Many Deltas has most of my problems, in Italy.

I'm much more serious and trustable than you are.

From next monday morning - july 20th - my Delta will be recovered in Turin, Mirafiori Village Assistance; mr. Mario Felletti is "Capo Officina", and will take care of my car. Plate no. of my Delta is DV897KH. It's long renting Savarent car, as it's my Company Car.

If you want, check. I don't care.

You will make a very bad figure with all friends of this forum. I hope then you will stop with your silly messages.

My personal aim is to have a good performant car, and that my help can possibly improve the product Delta which is really unsatisfactory, up to now.

Dal prossimo lunedì la mia vettura sarà ricoverata a Torino al Mirafiori Village, dove il Capo Officina, persona di grandissima esperienza, proverà nuovamente a risolvere gli innumerevoli problemi di cui è afflitta.

Era un po' che non passavo di qui... che scempio di accuse e contro-accuse...
Tanto per far piacere all'inglese scrivo nella sua lingua...

Even if I'm a pretty nationalistic sort of guy, buying exclusively Fiat Group cars and defending them as much as possible, it doesn't make sense to insult somebody because he's annoyed by issues with his car... and several issues have been flagged by the professional press in Italy and outside (I recall reading several articles in France for instance). Assembly is sub-standard and the car is simply not geared for aggressive sporty driving. Having said this, its aesthetics are simply unique and mostly appreciated and the engines are very valid (shame though that most purchases are by leasing fleets and company car-fleets, so mostly in the 1.6 diesel 120hp variant).

Since I'm from Turin I've always been very close to Lancia and my dream cars in the late 80s and early 90s were the Delta and the Thema. Since then Lancia has ended up abandoning territory to the Alfa brand and defending a more urban+elegant market positioning in the B segment. The New Delta is a very nice car but it will take more than that to bring Lancia back to its old glory (especially outside Italy). In the meanwhile I've shifted for my main car in the last 4 years to Alfa and the 159SW (2+ years, 47,000km, and I'm very satisfied so far), although I do keep a Lancia as 2nd car (now a Musa 2).

Anyway I like the new Delta but let's not force people to shut up about its issues otherwise the product will never mature and Lancia will not be able to upgrade itself back into the C/D segments...

Point well taken, no harm done.

The problem was: nobody else could reproduce the deficiencies or part of them on their Deltas. So, if this happens to me one day, I'd be grateful to know how the problem was solved. One. Two, if their was an endemic engineering or assembly error, the problems MUST show up on other cars. Or this car is a prototype assembly series, who knows? I agree it's not a sports car. It's not planned to be, either. Mind you, with the 17" wheels, the car lies pretty flat all the same

Then: what to do with statements like "the rear is for 1.75m people" (I measure 1.85 and have no problem whatsoever), etc.

However, we will see for what happens and why it happened.

Oh, and yes: I apologise for not speaking your language albeit being able to read it. Sorry, mate.

la mia Delta è in lavorazione...

1) Intervenuta Webasto sul tetto apribile, mi hanno cambiato entrambe le tendine con le nuove (che sono più economiche in quanto semi-trasparenti come quelle di Musa e non spesse come quelle che avevo inizialmente. Una "vergognosa" riduzione costi...ma noi la vettura la paghiamo sempre uguale), e riquadrato il tetto per eliminare gli scricchiolii.
2) Intervenuta Marelli con - mi dicono - un ultimissimo aggiornamento software sul Nav per eliminare il problema del mancato spegnimento ed il baco che quando legge gli Mp3 da chiavetta non indica il tempo trascorso del brano.

La prossima settimana il grande Capo Officina del MMV continuerà a lavorarci su...la mia fiducia e speranza è tutta risposta in questa splendida persona. Se lui la mette a posto bene, se non ci riesce lui, non riesce nessuno. Giovedì pomeriggio me la riconsegna con tutti gli interventi che riuscirà a fare.

Nel frattempo viaggio in Alfa MiTo Turbo 155 Cv. Almeno mi diverto con un oggetto ben fatto e dalla guida assolutamente fantastica!!

Davvero interessanti la necessaria sferzata di Rosso&nero e la successiva discussione. Nessuno obietterà sul fatto che una Delta così mal riuscita sarebbe da sostituire al volo come si fa con un banale elettrodomestico. Ma solo la comprensibile rabbia del suo proprietario può far aggiungere nell'elenco difetti che tali non sono (ad esempio, il rischio di urtare il tetto col capo): è troppo bassa ? Si ripieghi su un bel furgone tedesco ! Le auto si provano prima dell'acquisto e se si nota che - seduti dietro - bisogna tenere sempre il capo flesso con lo sguardo fisso sui tappetini e che manca la maniglia interna per il passeggero, si va alla VW e si compra una Touran da sogno.
Rosso&nero ha ragione da vendere: la sottolineatura dei difetti di un'auto allontana oggettivamente i potenziali acquirenti. Aggiungo che se essi poi si rivelano manifestamente infondati od inconsistenti, non si conciliano affatto con la passione per Lancia che dovrebbe animare i partecipanti al forum. Insomma, quella Delta sgangherata sarebbe da sostituire su inziativa della Casa, ma non personalizziamo questa discussione al punto da renderla inutile, distinguendo invece fra difetti veri e propri errori di valutazione.
PS: grazie ancora, Rosso&nero: se tra qualche mese viaggerò su Delta, sarà anche merito tuo...!

è sempre interessantissimo leggere i tuoi commenti da addetto al settore, grazie per metter la tua competenza a beneficio di tutti;peccato per queste vicende, fiat rischia di bruciare anche Delta dopo Gamma, K ecc.. ecc...

Solo una domanda: secondo te, tutta questa odissea che stai facendo visto che ti rivolgi alle "fonti", potrà mai esser utile anche per migliorare il prodotto di serie o solo il tuo esemplare?
Sarebbe davvero bello che servisse anche alla produzione!

Questa Delta è stata disegnata e realizzata a tempo di record e con un mare di vincoli... secondo me la famosa "Deltina" che è stata abortita mesi fa poteva esser invece un oggettino molto più interessante...

alcuni dei difetti della mia Delta sono "tipici" quindi la mia esperienza dovrebbe servire a migliorare la vettura in generale.

Comunque la mia, purtroppo, è fallata, ogni tanto capita. Se me la riparano, bene, altrimenti la do indietro.
