if it were not for UK headlight height laws, there never would have been a slanty-lamp Fulvia Coupe.
For yrs I'd no idea that the slanty-lamp models were built specifically for the UK &, I guess Eire.
I thought the "slanty-lamp look" was a specific Fulvia model, built between ? & ?; perhaps as an option.
That was in the old-days, b4 internet. Now I know the reason why. I like the slant look, just like I like the S1 big-grill. Of course, I have a Z ,with non-attractive Renault headlamps...so the slanty-look will not play a roll in my life.

It's actually beige with a bit of greenish tint, to my eye anyway. I think someone described it as "putty" colored, which seems pretty accurate to me. I was originally thinking of gold wheels, but have decided against that. Gold would look good with a true tan or beige, but would not look right with this color. Silver is the way to go I think.
Max Meyer is one of the paint manufacturers, the others listed on the Vanzetti site as Glasurit, DuPont, or Lesonal. Max Meyer is by far the most widely used. FYI; all the color names are listed on the Vanzetti site as well... too bad it doesn't have "paint chips" to see the colors.

Oops...
Also listed are Italver and I.V.I as paint providers.
Also FYI, my car has a forest green carpet and mint green seats/door panels. This may be one reason the paint looks green to me, but rather I think it was intended to complement the green interior, and so really does have a slight - very slight - greenish hue.

Hi John,
Beige Mirabello...
Do you remember the Fulvia Berlina which Lucas was driving during the Fulvia meeting this year?
His Berlina has the color Beige Mirabello. You can check the pictures, there weren't that many Berlina's.

'Putty' is a good description of beige mirabello. It really is a gray-olive mix. I have scans of some pages from my Glasurit swatch book (with color correction target), and I can send a scan to anyone who really needs to see a particular color, if you contact me.

YES I DO; WOW....that isn't what I would associate with the fruit Mirabello, which ( I believe) is a plumor a close relative of a plum. Now the description "putty colored" makes sense....although I've never seena puttty colored plum. Porsche had (maybe still does) a special-order/extra-cost color in the 70/80's called (something like) Bahama Red or Holiday Red.
I phone/blind bought a 930Turbo in this color, in Cologne 20 yrs ago, from an known source.
It was everything he said it was - "hardly-used" used, honest lo-km, perfect & violently pink..with white (slightly metallic) leather. I almost fell over in shock when I saw it. What a color combination !
No wonder the 1st owner didn't keep it long !
Still, I didn't change my mind ! I wondered, "who in the USA can I offer this car (that was my business back then) ... I didn't want to "not tell the buyer what the real color was". I was worried that
a) I would sell it
b) that I couldn't sell it.
a) because I thought "what a lovely car; it would be "a gas" (like in "Jumpin Jack Flash, itsa gag gas gas") to keep it (but, seriously...why ?)
b) because no 1 in the world would buy it, because no 1 in the world would want to be seen in it (including me).
It turned out I was wrong about b) - it was so bizzare that it was oversold within 1 week. As the price rose & rose & I got happier & happier. It finally went to a business called ( I believe) Sport-Cars of Salt Lake City.
Had it been Mirabello, I maybe would still own it.

Johnny,
Some simple advice: If you run across any fruit that's the color of beige mirabello, DO NOT EAT IT.

WOOOOW ! Where did you locate a brand new Fulvia ? I wooda named the color Formaggio - Misto, since I see many different cheese colors, but no fruit colors whatsoever !
I just returned from a Swiss/ Italy-Trip where I (+ 3 business visitors who were never in Swiss/Ital before) all gained 10kg in 4 days.
Eating Euro 12, all inclusive meals of wine, water; soup, salad, incredible Formaggio, pasta, bread,, calorie-laden deserts, espresso, cappucino & the traditional 'complimentary Grappa) at least 3x daily .
In selected-restaurants where either myself or our "Invitees" are known.
If you are known, you get bigger portions &, of course, give bigger tips .
Between feasting we managed to make our appointments, where we (traditionally) were 1st were invited to eat & drink, prior to even think of discussing business. We graciously accepted, burp !
At 1 Christmas Market we (about 12 of us) locked arms & danced (stumbled) to the parking lot.
After a long lunch in a WOW restaurant, in a House occupied (some years ago) by the man who discovered electricity; Allesandro Volta. It was also a Museum.
We had a "bit o' wine", to relax . Then everyone sang Jingles Bells in a different language !!
I know, Itsa hard life, but someone gotta do it.
So, for the next 3 days I am on a water & sugarless tea diet !!!
We survived a.
It was my idea to take a short-cut, via mountain roads from Bern to Luzern.
Just in time for a blizzard !
That "surprised everyone" - (how can anyone be surprised at a snow-storm in the Alps in Winter ?) - according to the Swiss traffic-radio station !
It was a wise decision to turn around & drive the longer way (12 km extra) from Bern to Luzern, on the dry, sunny Autobahn. Tractor-trailers on the short-cut-road were not able to proceed, so they stopped !
Nor were they able to turn around to return to the valley. They blocked the pass, in both directions, until ??
We were 1 American (me) & 3 Russians, in the Alps, visiting Swiss & Italians. Lots of fun understanding each other. 10 minute conversations took 2 hours.
We had a great time - in the Van, in Restaurants, in Business-Offices, in Hotels & in Coffee-Bars.
We yelled at each other (in fun) a lot, especially in the blizzard.
They (the Russians) enjoyed yelling at me when we were in the Blizzard.
They called it "summer time" & told me to go to Siberia to experience a real blizzard. Very funny !
We returned North via the Brenner Pass in Austria , where we expected more snow.
Instead we put our sun-glasses on & enjoyed spring-time temperatures !!
There was truck-strike in Italy, so driving was a car - drivers - dream; no delays & clean air !
This all has nothing to do with Fulvias , bit I thought you'd like to know !

What a trip!! Sure, you need to be on diet now!!
You're right, colour is pretty far away from what we call Mirabello here in France!
Anyway, it's not common and looks ok with a brown interior.
I have some work to do on the body: little bit rust under the door and I have to sand blast and repaint the 4 rims: rim colour is will surely be grey, but it is no more possible to get this special metal grey here in France...
