Sanity! What Sanity ? Anyway, who wants to be sane ? It sounds so boring !!
I was under the impression that we (all) must be (as in: are required to be) a "little off" to desire a Fulvia & a bit "more-off" to actually own one. We owe it to ourselves...after all we have earned (as in: worked to be able to afford) the right to own & cherish our Piccilo Bella Machina !Thomas wrote:

Sometimes, just sometimes, I think you drink more bottles grappa than you sell...
Bart - Just think of it like this.
listen to Song from the Band -(the name of the Band that originally recorded song is / was "The Band) - "The Weight" (as heard on the Band's 1st Album - "Big Pink" - & as heard on various Band compilations & as heard in the 60's film "Easy Rider" (performed by "The Smiths" (1 hit wonder), since the Band's Record Lable wouldn't le the Bands version "appear" in the Film; for ? reason/reasons ).
Do you understand this Song ? No ? Me too ! Every1 else too !
Bravo for us all, because no 1 understands this song, including the Band......
"The Weight" makes no sense.........it made no sense in the movie either,as a "Movie Song can/should.
But it was a BIG HIT (song & movie).
PS: movie made no / little sense either, but thats not what we R discussing here.
Oh, yes..."The Weight" wasn't the movie theme song..that is the lovely Byrd's song - "The Ballad of Easy Rider". This song is easy to understand. Don't worry, I won't sing it.
The Main Line of "The Weight" is.
"take a load off fanny, take a load for free, take a load off fanny & & & ya put the load right back on me ...
Making no sense is what was desired by thje "writer", Robbie Robertson of the Band ( I read this in his web-site).
1 of the interesting things about The Weight - besides discordant music, non-harmony harmonies, tempo-changes, stops & starts, musical breakdowns & loads of mystery - is that makes not 1 ounce of sense....... so every1 can (if they wish to) interpret it in any way they wish. or not !
&, any1 can sing it, because it requires no singing skill whatsoever.
Very few bands ( I read this too) had the ability to play so-poorly so-well (not only on "The Weight"), which was their intention. Bob Dylan must have loved them, since they were his "Band" for many many years.
When U (or any1 else) read (most of ) what I write, don't expect it to make sense.
Does Life make sense ? No ? Well, we agree on that. But is sure (can be) is fun !
Truman Capote said about my writing (actually he said this about Jack Kouriak's writing (which I've avoided reading) "that isn't writing ! Its only typing !. Not that any1 cares about what T. Capote said.
Nor what I wrote / write.
Except - sometimes - I can write "properly", "correctly", "seriously", if the occasion warrants it

Johnny,
Adan's down to only(!) 4 Fulvias, partly because I took the Fanalone off his hands. But the ones he has are just gorgeous; it's a shame it's so hard to post photos here.

WOW...
Disappear for a week and look what you all come up with. THRILLING!
Fulvia's are like wine...
...everyone should drink what they like and there is something for all of us.
If I could have one of each, I'd be a happy man, but that's just not in the cards for most of us. Hell, I'd be happy just to DRIVE another Fulvia to get comparisons for my car. It runs great, and I really enjoy it, but it seems the only way to know if it's REALLY running up to it's potential is to drive others as well. In doing so, a taste of "Fanalone" would certainly be sweet!
