Re: what rims for my S 1 ?

as has Mr. Fiat.
Sorry for bringing this topic up again after several years. I've put 13" Stilauto rims on my Fulvia S1, the same ones Huib mentions. I've only noticed some rubbing when I'm driving on the highway at high speeds and encounter a sudden change in the road surface.Huib wrote: ↑06 Aug 2011, 10:28 The S1 (any in fact) Fulvia runs best on the original steel wheels with the original tyre size. Bridgestone makes an excellent 145/80R14 tire. It has to be inflated to a somewhat higher than usual pressure. I use 2.2 to 2.4 bar.
If you insist on changing to 13" rims you can use 165/80R13 tyres. Plenty of good tyres are available in this size. The circumference is the same as for the 145R14.
With some types of the 13" wheels you will have interference with the brake callipers and the pincher of the handbrake. This can be solved by grinding some off the callipers. Also make sure there is clearance between the brake lines and the wheels.
At the rear you will also have interference with the wheel arches. When you use the Stilauto 5,5J13 wheels with 165/80R13 tyres you have to extend the rubber stop over the rear axle by 45 mm. I also advise stronger rear springs. With the standard springs the rear axle will hit the stop all the time which shortens the life time of mechanical parts such as the wheel bearings and body. If you use 6J13 wheels, you will have to extend the rubber stop even more.
