Surely a much better idea would be to fit the running gear & engine from an integrale into a Fulvia!

Imagine a 4 wheel drive turbo charged rally monster

at least then we'd still be Lancia :-)

probably easier to weld a Fulvia body on an Evo chassis, someone on France once did that trick by putting a 2CV body onto a Pajero chassis. Oops, maybe the Americans won't understand that either - sorry.

at which point you'll learn why the Fulvia engine is canted over at 45 degrees...

I know you can can stick any motor you want into the Fulvia given enough time any money. However the point was to choose a motor that would fit the low hood line, the bolt pattern on the bell housing, not change the dynamics by weighing more than the original, provide a reliable 160HP and opportunity for more power without the histrionics of a 1600HF AND remain a Lancia.

But thanks for playing the game.

For the next round we will be fitting a turbine helicopter motor in a 2nd Series Appia sedan. Any ideas?

There was a Fulvia coupe fitted with a Flavia/2000 flat four a few years back.
The radiator and front grille had to be moved fwd, which rather spoilt the profile, and I don't believe it was good to drive.
It could have been done better, but like you all say, what's the point?

Paul Leclercq got a 4 cylinder Lucas mechanical injection unit from a Formula2 Cosworth fva engine, and that works beautifully in his 1.6HF~ hen's teeth, of course!

I took a Kugelfischer mechanical system off a BMW 2002 Tii, and mated it to my 1486cc Fulvia coupe, and that worked very well ~ over 140bhp.

So you'd be right in believing a modern system could definitely develop horse power ~ but is it "period"? This was a major concern of ours when we developed our Fulvia iniezione plans.

Regards all,
Jus
