I am not familiar with the settings for the Dell'orto DHLB 35s. You are fortunate to have them; they are now rare and expensive in England.

Your point concerning the differences between series 1s and 2s is well made.

My second Fulvia was a 1970 registered 1.3s. Despite its chequered history and high mileage, this was a super car to drive; lots of grip, superb turn-in and, cruising at 85 mph, would return nearly 35 miles per gallon.

I always found it strange that the 1.3HF had 29mm chokes (on Solex 35s) in comparison with the 31mm chokes fitted to series 2 303 engines. Of course the 1.3HF did have 10.5/1 compression (partly as a result of the special pistons), but cam timing was similar to that of 1.3S and SII 303 engines.
Also worth noting, is that the 1.3HF had a nitrided crankshaft; I have met a man who bought a number of new 1.3HF crankshafts in the US some years ago very cheaply; he was very lucky I think.
