guten morgen zusammen,

eine frage zum connect: wird die helligkeitsanzeige permanent automatisch gesteuert bzw. angeglichen, wenn das so voreingestellt ist ? ich habe morgens oder wenn der wagen nicht die richtige "betriebstemperatur" hat den eindruck, dass der monitor zu schwach leuchtet, am 2. und 3. bedineknopf von rechts stärker als auf der restlichen fläche. display evt. defekt ?

hat eigentlich jeder thesis TV ?

Two things are corrected on the screen. The backlight is set by the interior sensor and the contrast is changed according to the dashboard backlight set by another sensor. Sometimes happens to me too that I thing the screen could be brighter so dont worry your screen is OK. There was an option to buy analog TV tuner, I found some on the internet, but the problem is its analog. So now Im working on one project, where the screen will be replaced with touchscreen and better resolution. DVD, avi, amp3 player will be added, TV bluetooth function too, plus live diagnostics. There will be one independent screen for the rear passengers. And the point is, when the system will be switched off, everything will be the some as its now, so with full connect functionality.

thanks. i understand. but is it normal that during day almost from morning to noon the light is extremely weak. without glasses hard to see. to me that does not appear to be the right way. only between CD and CC-buttoms the light is brighter is brighter. can it be a voltage problem or anything else ? regards. thomas

It depends on when it happens. In the morning especially when for example under any roof it usually happens. As in the car in this season its a bit darker and interior sensor changes the screen brightness, because the exterior sensor is looking quite far in front of the car. But I dont know how much it is in your case.

zu Vlados Aussage würde ich ergänzend noch folgendes hinzufügen.

Das Display ist mit Kaltlichkathoden Röhren beleuchtet, die vor ein paar Jahren noch Standart zur TFT Beleuchtung waren.

Diese haben im Gegensatz zu LEDs eine sichtbare Alterung.
Sie werden mit der Zeit immer dunkler und waren auch zu dem Zeitpunkt als dein Thesis gebaut wurde schon nicht besonders leuchtstark.

Sie sind ebenfalls etwas Temperatur empfindlich und müssen je älter sie sind ein paar Minuten "warmlaufen" bevor sie die volle Helligkeit bringen.

Du kannst in den Einstellungen des Connect die automatische Helligkeitsregelung ausschalten, indem du im Setup Menu -> Bildschrim "Tagdesign" auswählst, dann müsste die volle Helligkeit erreicht sein.

Thats right,
the tubes are getting older and darker, but in comparison to LED it's still better solution as the LEDs are getting darker much more faster than tubes.
But I don't consider it as any problem in thesis where the screen is on only sometimes. You shouldn't see any aging. More likely the problem should be that the best light is only at higher temperatures and its quite dark in these winter days after cold starts.
