Rust in panel under windscreen on HPE

Any tips on tackling localised rust along bottom of windscreen and bottom of A pillar. It's rusted through in at least two places, each approx 30mm across. I'm working on the basis that I'll have to get the windscreen removed and I know that's a job for the experts. I'll be taking the car to a local bodyshop who won't have seen much italian stuff. They'll probably fabricate a fix, any tips. If there's water in there (beneath this panel) how do i get it out?

If there's rust on the A pillar chances are the front drains for the sunroof are blocked, get into the sunroof drain holes and clear them out. Repairing them is tricky, but worthwhile. Do NOT be tempted to just fill in any holes, it will only make a bad situation worse.

you can try an air line down them always a good idea on a regular basis to keep all the cr*p out!
