78 Beta Coupe 1756cc. Oil in coolant, I'm thinking head gasket, but is there any other source? No coolant in oil.
Oil stays fresh due to leak oil filter gasket leak. 1 qt/200miles. 60 psi when cold 28 psi at 3500rpm when warm.
Oil in Beta's coolant, where's the leak?

Re: Oil in Beta's coolant, where's the leak?
Bill,
I suggest the head gasket is the most likely culprit, if it's a mild leak you won't necessarily see coolant in oil until its too late.....!! Get it off before it's too late.

Head gaskets are a weak spot on betas especially 2000's the distance between bores is tiny get a Spezzo gasket from Barry waterhouse Evo engineering They are superb bit more expensive but are Kevlar reinforced & have substantial metal fire rings around the bores check that your head & block are flat head may need a skim.
