Finally able to buy myself a beta!

Unread post by Chris »

Hi,
I have finally sold my jag xjs so I can begin my search for a beta in earnest. Im looking for a vx coupe, with the possibility of a 2000ie if a nice one came up. If anyone knows of one up for sale thats not listed here or on viva lancia let me know! max price im looking at is £2500 for a really nice one.

I think you will be very lucky to find a really nice VX for that money, try to inspect any you see very carefully. It is a very arguable point as to whether the vx is better than an ie in many ways the ie is the superior car although the vx is a more unique experience to drive and a lot rarer

I recognise that its not quite as much as Id like - I thought I would have around £3500 at least to play with but other commitments such as finishing my degree without too much debt have taken that a bit too much. Thankfully the finishing degree bit means I will be getting a bit of money from the working experience to spend on one. Just so long as I find one that isnt a bit of a nightmare all over!

Hi, just reporting in that I have just bought an 85 hpe vx. Mechanically its sound, but it will be paying a visit to get some rust attended to and some fresh paint. Paid 1200 UKP for it. Very very nearly swung for a earlier (possibly 79?) lhd 2000 coupe.
