My Ora S1 Gamma Coupe 1978 was delivered to Zürich - CH for the Company "Mantana Stahl" - sensa rear seatbelts - in 1978. Such an expensive car with no rear seatbelts ? & only 1 rear-view mirror ? Scandalo !
When I imported this S1 to DE in 2001 I installed simple lap-belts using the original mounting points; which were covered / hidden with rubber caps. It was a very easy installation. Finding new simple-lap belts was not easy; I had to go to Luzern; 240km away frmo my home in Heidelberg DE !! Crazy but True !! .
My Argento SI Gamma Coupe 1978 was deliverd to Ravensburg DE for Dottore Professor Walter Muschel with Poltrona-Frau Brunello Leather Seats, but no rear seatbelts, in 1978. Expensive Leather but no rear seatbelts ! Walter told me "no one worried about seatbelts for the kids in the back of ths car in 1978 ! Scandalo ! Also 1 mirror ! Horrors !
My imported to DE in 1982 Ora S2 ricambi-only Gamma Coupe was delivered with factory-mounted 3-point rear-seatbelts; which I removed to install in my Argento S1. I was so happy !
I quickly discover that it is not possible to install the very complicated, heavy & extremely strong 3 point-belt rear seat-belt mounting-system from a DE S2 Coupe into a DE S1 Coupe. The correct mounting points to attach the outboard mounting-brackets are not to be found in a S1. I was able to find used lap-belts in a crashed Audi.
Postscript: My Gold S1 now has the Silver S1 Brunello leather seats; it looks wonderful !
My Silver S1 now has a complete dark-blue S2 leather interior, purchased -for a few Lire- from Gamma Rene in Bern in 2010. It is beautiful.
Last week I measured the still like-new original velour S1 seats from my gold 1; for another (non-Lancia) car; if this "project" actually is done, I will have a very lovely Gamma interior in my little-boxer, a 1974 ??; which already has seatbelts in every position !

In quegli anni le cinture non le usava nessuno neanche davanti... Il vero orrore è che tanti ancora purtroppo lasciano i bambini liberi di girare dentro le macchine mentre loro si mettono le cinture!
Allora poi erano pochissime le auto con i doppi specchietti; quasi nessuno li offriva neanche a pagamento; prima che diventasse obbligatorio (1977, credo) erano poche anche le auto che avevano il sinistro!
