3.0 V6 AISIN Automatic Gearbox fail - valve unit

My gearbox is not perfect. Only 90% :)
Sometimes the gear change a bit hard.

People says the valve unit has problem.
Does anybody know what kind of part goes wrong in the valve unit?
Any kind of valve, or something other? Maybe one of the valves is dirty?

Hi Arnold,

the valves in the valve unit are the bottleneck. After this valve unit has been changed by a complete new one my gare box performs as new. The unit is quite easy to change and should not take more than approx. 1,5 hours. The cost of the unit is approx. 800 euro excl. Vat,..... and are similar to Volvo. Availability should not be a problem.
