With a bit of effort, I'm sure you can successfully manage to avoid that...

in reply to Ed I say:
in the words of Sam Clemens...or was it H*Y*M*A*N* K*A*P*L*A*N*...or was it Eddie Kane ?
Yes, it was Eddie Kane: "Thank you. I resemble that remark".
or " I love to use big words in conversations; it really impresses people. Now, if I could just remember the words I want to use, I'd be in good shape. I learned one the other day, but I can't remember it now " .

PS: Ol' Ed (American living in Germany) is still with us in spite of years of racing anything with 4 wheels.
Anywhere, at any time.
One of his great sayings was " I really can race anything, in fact I think I have raced just about everything. Never very well, which is why I am so popular (with the other racers) ! "
Great Guy, just like Sam C. & Leo R.
Now, Ed.... find how Leo fits into this story & you'll be in good shape to!

"I resemble that remark" wasn't coined by Mark Twain, or Hyman Kaplan or Eddie Kane--it was Jerome Lester Horwitz, better known to Three Stooges fans as Curly Howard.

Ed...See ! I told you I'd get educated by reading this forum Thank you & keep it up. By the way: U R A MAN OF MANY INTERESTS IT SEEMS !!

Here is my favorite dance tune of all times. I don't thing Curly H. was around to hear it, but if he was...I sure he wooda loved it.

When me and my friends go out on the town
We can't sit still. We can't sit down
We don't like to fight and we don't like to scuffle
Dancin' all night doin' the Curly Shuffle

Hey, Moe. Hey, Moe.
Well, a nyuk-nyuk-nyuk-nyuk.
La-le-li-li
woo-woo-woo-woo
Well, we never miss a chance
We get up and dance and do the Curly Shuffle

Well, me and my friends love Larry and Moe
We love Curly's brother Shemp and his fat clone Joe
It's such a delight to boogie and hustle
Dancin' all night doin' the Curly Shuffle

Hey, Moe. Hey, Moe.
Well, a nyuk-nyuk-nyuk-nyuk.
We-be-be-be-be-be
Oh, a wise guy
Well, we never miss a chance
We get up and dance and do the Curly Shuffle

Well, me and my friends-we all love to see
Comedy classics on late night TV
Those knuckleheads always get in a scuffle
A push and a shove doin' the Curly Shuffle

Hey, Moe. Hey, Moe.
Well, a nyuk-nyuk-nyuk-nyuk.
Look at the grouse, Look at the grouse
Ruff-Ruff-Ruff-Ruff
Well, we never miss a chance
We get up and dance and do the Curly Shuffle

"I really didn't say everything I said" - as said by Lawrence Peter (Lorenzo Pietro) Berra aka Yogi.

Also by everyone-else-ever, at some time(s) in their life, including many a Muggins (Yiddish: meshuggeneh).

Fanalone as in...well.....

Unread post by fulvia a.i. Zagato »

quoting Lucas:
Fanalone means big eh... headlamps I was told.

even as a boy in America I knew what was being referred to by men when they described certain 50's Cadillac front bumpers as "Marilyn Monroe bumpers" or "Jane Mansfield bumpers".
The 53 models are particularly ... aaah .. impressive. Very Stylish.

I assume that these Cadillacs were referred to in Italy as Cadillac Fanalone ?
I assume that Marilyn & Janes were referred to as "talented actresses" ha ha ha

As Yogi Berra would have said & did say: "you can observe a lot by watching"
