TELEGRAPH
Re: TELEGRAPH
Hello Iain,
I would call that a 'satin' finish ? Don't know what would happen if it was polished ?

Steve

Re: TELEGRAPH
It could be a temporary dulling spray (or an unbuffed wax) used to kill reflections for studio photography. WIth darker colors, polished paint acts like a mirror, and the lines of the car can be lost in the reflections, and that's one way to avoid the problem.
I recall that something like this seems to have been done for the studio photo shoot of a 2nd series Blu Lancia HF1600 for a 'buying guide' article in the July 2005 issue of Thoroughbred & Classic Cars. Could the Telegraph shots possibly be of that same car? (the car in question was reg 3206HK, and had red elephant stickers in both rear quarter windows)

Re: TELEGRAPH
I should have checked first; it's the same car from same studio photo session. I'm going with "Blu Lancia with photo dulling spray".
