Hi Claire-

Interesting comments..............
I thought I would start with what was original, but ultimately I think you are correct, it has to look right.
Cream and White strikes me as appearing that a match was botched!
Contrast is good, as Geoff said in another post,
the Dark Green car with Cream wheels and a Tan interior is spectacular.
I'm leaning toward matching the wheels to body color even though it is not totally "correct" or original.
White is both simpler(no color) and more complex (to get it right) at the same time.
Interesting conumdrum?

Yes, contrast in the colors is good, but original is even better.

As you know, a tan car can have cream colored correct wheels and still look very good.

I certainly agree with the tan car premise,
I'm guess I'm still having problems with Cream/Off White wheels on a very Specific White color car like Bianco Saratoga.
I think it just looks "off"
Maybe if I saw Factory exact color Cream wheels on a Factory fresh White car I would be convinced!!
That is why I thought white cars might have been an exception to the rule.
The wheels appear to have repainted body color on the Rallye(Bianca) I just bought.

Not quite. If I'm not very much mistaken, it actually translates better as 'the bigger ones'. "Le Maggiorate" is the name of the factory brochure introducing the new 1.3L engines across the Fulvia range.

I've taken a bit of poetic-license in translating "increased" as "better"; although I have been told by 1.2 fulvia owners that the difference in performance is minimal.

I looked at the Maggiorate brochure last night, just o see the various wheel colors shown therein..

I will have to, in the interest of self-preservation, reserve my opinion as to my opinion (s) as to which wheel color (s) & / or scheme (s) is/are "my druther*(s)".

Actually, my Z hasn't steel wheels...so for me all this talk & opinions is just a "fun exercize in fun". anyway.

If you google on RAL colorcodes you will find several manufacturers.
I prefer powdercoating as it is long lasting and won't chip if the tire is fitted or removed. The real issue is stripping the rim off old paint. Gridblasting always leaves media between the rim and the centre section which shows in the paint or coating. Chemical stripping probably is best but rinsing afterwards has to be 100% or the same area will eventually disolve.

I did google RAL 9001 and saw the color chart.
I assume any reputeable powder coating firm would be able to access and formulate that #?
Also appreciate the blasting vs chemical stripping insight.
